For more than 20 years, RJ Baxter has dedicated his career in the mortgage industry to building positive, lasting relationships with homebuyers, homeowners, Realtors, and financial professionals. Prior to becoming a mortgage planner, RJ was a teacher, and he continues to bring that same teaching approach into his mortgage practice. His background in education and his client-for-life philosophy allow him to simplify complex financial concepts and help clients feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout the entire loan process.

RJ believes a mortgage should be more than just a loan; it should be part of a bigger financial plan. He helps clients not only secure the right mortgage at the start but also monitors their situation over time, looking for opportunities to lower costs, improve cash flow, and stay on track with long-term goals. His focus is on creating strategies that help families build wealth, protect what they’ve worked hard for, and enjoy more financial freedom.

After growing up in Cedar Rapids and graduating from the University of Iowa, RJ traveled around the world. He played professional paintball in Denmark, taught English in Honduras, and spent a winter in Taos, NM before settling down in Colorado. He now lives in Denver with his wife and daughter, and has a son at Auburn University. RJ enjoys all that Colorado offers including hiking, golf, snowboarding, travel, and mountain biking.
